Django was 13 years old when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I adopted him from the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home in July 2013. Django was a super boisterous, and at times, crazy little Staffy x Shar Pei. He loved running alongside my bike and going for walks. Django was great on the lead—he would heel at my side and always sit or drop on command. And he loved a good tug of war or zoomies around the lounge.
Django and I moved back home to Christchurch in February 2020 from Sydney. He was my little Aussie traveller.
I knew his time was coming, but his rapid decline over 24 hours took me by surprise. In my stress, I googled and found Our Pet’s Goodbye. I reached out through the website contact form, and Nic was amazing. She was very reassuring and asked all the right questions. After a conversation and sending a short video of Django’s condition, Nic quickly put a plan in place. Everything was explained with compassion and understanding, including costs and timeframes.
As heartbreaking as it was, Nic made the experience a peaceful, calming, and positive one. Thank you once again—I’m eternally grateful for your expertise, help, and support.
